Chicago, IL – Chicago Children’s Museum (CCM) today announced David Susalla as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer. Susalla accepts this position after a three-month run as the museum’s interim CFO. In this role, Susalla will oversee all functions of finance including accounting, treasury and technology.
“I am very excited to be a permanent part of CCM, working with a professional management team who is bonded together to provide experiences where children learn through play,” said Susalla. I know that the next few years will be both exciting and challenging.”
“Dave is an important addition to Chicago Children’s Museum,” said President and CEO Jennifer Farrington. “His leadership will be integral as we achieve our mission to create a community where play and learning connect today, and work toward our future home in Daley Bicentennial Plaza in Grant Park.”
Susalla brings over 20 years of senior level financial leadership experience in manufacturing, communications, alternate energy and non-profit to the museum. Most recently, Susalla was a Principal with Tatum, LLC's Chicago practice office. A CPA, he has a BBA from The University of Michigan, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He also serves as an adjunct professor of accounting at Dominican University.
