As much fun as a field trip, CCM To Go offers the same kinds of workshops you’d experience at the museum—without the hassle of a bus.   A museum educator will visit your classroom and facilitate a one-hour, interactive workshop that will inspire children to lead with their imaginations and learn by doing!

$150 for first or single session
$125 for additional sessions (up to 3) at the same location on the same day


Maximum of 35 students per session for K-Grade 5
Maximum of 20 students per session for Pre-K groups

Coaster Challenge  Grades 1 – 5
Build your own roller coaster!  Students will discover the physics of simple machines by exploring force and motion, gravity, friction, momentum and more, while working in teams to complete a coaster track.  Using unique materials to build simple and compound machines, they will create one thrilling ride!

Dinosaur Detectives Age 3 – Grade 1
Young Explorers will begin to unravel the mysteries of Suchomimus, a recently-discovered, 100-million-year-old species of dinosaur. Through sound, music, movement, and dramatic storytelling techniques, students will begin to make connections between dinosaurs, paleontology, and humans.

Make a Mural
Grade 2 – 5
Paint a mural that reflects a unit of your choice!  Students will become acquainted with the tools of mural making, exercise their use of visual language, and create a collaborative mural featuring curriculum content that's ready to display in your classroom.  Prior to the workshop, teachers choose the mural's subject matter, which can be incorporated into any unit of study.

The Skin You Live In
Age 3 – Grade 1
This interactive workshop, based on the book The Skin You Live In, helps teachers deal with complex topics, such as diversity, prejudice, self-esteem, and acceptance. It features an age-appropriate puppet show in which puppets respond to peers who look or sound different. Following the show, students will use a variety of materials to create puppets that represent their own unique cultures and ethnicities.

smART spaces Age 3 – Grade 1
Turn your classroom into a vibrant art studio, where young students re-shape, re-build, and re-invent everyday objects—with exciting and surprising results.  Students will help hang their works, transforming the classroom into an art gallery!  During the creative movement portion, children will bend, stretch, and reach their way into new shapes and forms, learning that even their bodies can be transformed into something new.
